The sinusoids of liver are lined by endothelium, which contains large phagocytic cells. These phagocytic cells are called kupffer cells or stellate cells. They can ingest and digest bacteria, foreign particles, damaged blood cells etc.

Question 7 : What are villi ? What is its function ?
Answer Villi are small finger like projection originating from the inner lining of small intestine.
Villus has a central lymphatic vessel known as lacteal. Externally, the villus is covered by a layer of columnar epithelium; which contains absorptive cells and mucus secreting goblet cells. Villi are meant for increasing surface area of absorption.

Question 8 : What are desmosomes ? What are they made up of
Answer Desmosomes are button like junction, with white cells connected to each other. They are also known as Macula adherens. Desmosomes are made of tonofibrils

Presence of bone marrow and volkman's canal.
