I. Mrs. Vimala, 55 year old lady is admitted in your ward with severe breathing difficulty.
(a) List the nursing diagnoses of the patient. (5 marks)
(b) What nursing care you will plan and impliment for her ? 10 marks)
IL Write short notes on any four of the following :
(a) Care of patient's unit after discharge.
(b) Uses and effects of local heat application.
(c) Complications of immobility.
(d) Food poisoning.
(e) Nurse's role in collection of specimen.

III. What are the principles you would apply while doing the following :--
(a) Positioning an unconscious patient.
(b) Catheterization of urinary bladder.
(c) Administration of intravenous fluids.

Iv. Explain the responsibilities of the nurse in meeting the needs of a dying patient. (10 marks)
V. How will you take care of the following articles after use.
(a) Glass syringes.
(b) Sputum cup.
(c) Rubber mackintosh.

VI. Write short notes on the following :—
(a) Prevention of cross infection in hospital.
(b) Maintaining patient record.

VII. Define the following :—
(a) Orthopnoea.
(b) Water hammer pulse.
(c) Laxative
(d) Anorexia.
(e) Isometric exercise.

VIII. Differentiate between :—
(a) Evacuant enema—Retension enema.
(b) Fowler's position—Recumbent position.
(c) Lysis—Crisis.
(d) Occupied bed—Closed bed.
(e) Oliguria—Retension of urine.
